I can confidently say it makes a world of difference for us – me and my clients – to go outside for coaching sessions (or for long periods of quiet sit spot practice…or both!).
Away from devices, florescent lighting, climate control, and the constant input from other people – this is what allows a body and mind to relax.
From this place: deeper reflection, honesty, new ideas, new insight.
I take some of my clients out weekly or monthly. And I offer retreats for longer immersion in nature.
It’s very effective (but maybe in the short-term less “efficient” than phone or Zoom coaching) but/and long term changes everything. One of my clients calls me “her bazooka that breaks down walls” (she and I have coached on and off for the last 10 years). Another tells me that investing in coaching with me (our FIFTH year together) helps her 10x her life over and over. And another shared our time together (a 9-month engagement) was transformational for her on a deeply personal level.
The folks I coach are in this for the long term, not for quick hits or shallow fixes.
I call these sessions “An Outside Perspective (TM).” Want to join me sometime?
Warmly,
Angie
PS: I’ve got FOUR spots available for #100 Days of Coaching. This is a hybrid of short sessions + voice message coaching. Super effective, very flexible. Deeply impactful.
P.S.S. I’ve still got a few spaces left for the wildHER Rogue River Retreat in Oregon this September. Interested? Details + registration here: https://coaching.mrslaine.com/wildher-rogue-river-women-retreat/
