“Sometimes women who pursue outdoor passions need reminding that we also deserve to cultivate our wildness.” Kelly Klein
Reading this makes pause, because while I do pursue my outdoor passions, my focus is *always* to cultivate my own wildness.
When I’m outdoors, I’m never in pursuit of a record time or domination of wilderness or going for gold. That’s simply not how I roll.
What I am here for is how it feels to be dirty for a week, live close to the Earth and her waters, being careful of my water usage, and being right IN IT with the weather.
I find *my* wildness when I’m pursuing my outdoor passions and I LOVE LOVE LOVE showing women how to experience the outdoors this way, too.
Some women end up LOVE LOVE LOVING IT, too. Others are glad to have experienced it, but it’s a one-and-done thing. And others say, “Too many bugs, too cold/too hot, too uncomfortable.” ALL of these reactions are welcome, truly!
What I admire about the women who have traveled with me this is way is that they give it a try. They stretch their boundaries, walk to the edge, and learn more about themselves during those days of touching their wildness than they do in their normal, comfortable, climate-controlled, predictable lives.
And THAT is what wildness is allllll about.
Interested in touching the wildness in you? Ready to stretch your boundaries and step to the edge?
We’re down to just a few remaining seats for August’s wildHER Adventure through Gates of Lodore! Might one of them be YOURS?
Warmly,
Angie
