Day 25: Day of Celebration (31 Notes from Nature)

Today is a day of celebration with my family. We gather, give gifts and thanks, and share meals.

When I read this poem (and poems seem to be speaking to me this round of 31 Notes from Nature), it grabbed my heart and wouldn’t let go.

Holiness comes wrapped in the ordinary.

There are burning bushes all around you.

Every tree is full of angels.

Hidden beauty is waiting in every crumb.

Regardless of whether you celebrate something today or some other day, remember the holiness is found in the ordinary and  hidden beauty is waiting in every crumb.

Be on the lookout.

And when you discover the holiness and spy the beauty, remember to pause and give thanks.
