A couple of Fridays ago, I had the opportunity to make a huge difference in the lives of a small group of people.
There’s a certain light people get in their eyes when they’ve discovered something that changes everything (even something simple that impacts their day-to-day routines).
Julie LaChance of RMS Solutions, Inc. and I held our first Gmail 101 class together. Other than some technology issues at the beginning (stupid technology, but our fault), the class overall was a big success.
You could see people’s eyes light up when Julie showed them how to change specific settings or use Google Labs to make using Gmail more effective.
Even I had a few serious “Holy Cow” moments when she demonstrated something I didn’t know about (remember, I have a love-hate relationship with technology).
Almost all of the people in the class walked away with tips to save them tons of time and aggravation and real understanding of how to manage email (rather than it managing them).
If there’s enough interest, Julie and I will run the class again. We’re also looking at doing it as a webinar (oh, technology). Stay tuned!
Through all this, I am struck by how impactful making room to focus on and solve an issue in your business can be. You can carve out room for a whole year to focus on the Five Essential Business Systems or simply dedicate a morning to learning how to manage email forevermore.
How can you make do this? Schedule a Make Some Room Rendezvous session. Incredible time-saving, money-making, stress-reducing organization and systems magic happens during these sessions.
I hope you’ll seriously consider scheduling one for yourself or your team this year. We can meet in person, do a Google Hangout together, or chat via Skype.
Make some room,
Angie
