I wanted to share more about me. Here are 10 things you might not know:
Books: I’ve written five of them since 2011. I have two more I’m noodling and for some reason I know I’m going to write 11 of them. How do I know? I just know.
As a military kid who moved a lot, I was labeled “shy” but I’m actually an introvert and an empath who gets too much energy coming at me from other people. I need LOTS of alone time to recharge.
Horses are still my secret obsession. Since I was very little, I wanted horses. It’s my dream that (so far) feels “not for me.” I’m actively working on not working on that particular obsession right now.
In college, I LOVED going to techno bars and dancing until dawn. I never did the rave/drugs thing…though I did smoke a clove cigarette from time to time. I just went and danced my ass off. It was GLORIOUS.
Kayaking is meditation for me. My quiet place. My joy place. Anytime, anywhere, let’s go boatin’!!! Especially if we can go for two or four weeks at a time.
I love a little bit of really good, really old Scotch. Neat, please. Maybe a splash of water, depending. My brother-in-law also often hands me a really tasty bourbon. I don’t need much, but a little bit is delightful.
My degree is from Queens University of Charlotte. Organizational communication. I am obsessed with how people communicate. I think all problems can be solved with better, clearer, more vulnerable communication, including with ourselves.
In my former life, I was a vet tech. A nurse for animals. I could take blood from even the rowdiest muzzle-wearing Rottweiler who was trying to eat my face.
NOTHING my clients tell me is shocking. We live in the cone of safety and I’m a judgment-free zone. Of course, during our first conversation, I’m interviewing you to make sure you and I will get along. It’s an energetic thing.
One of my most prized possessions is from my mom. It’s a tiny little religious man carved from…well, I’m not sure. It might be petrified wood. I LOVE him.
Warmly,
Angie
