A Holy Unrest

Is there a holy unrest rumbling under your breastbone?

It’s illogical, the need.

It’s illicit, the wanting.

It’s ill-timed, based on your current obligations.

And yet…

There It is: the Wanting.

For change. For bigger (or smaller, simpler).

For more (or less, but Better).

For different, that’s for damn sure.

It’s an unrest that won’t let you go.

It’s HOLY because your Soul knows why.

It’s quiet…

Or so freaking LOUD you can’t sleep for all the racket it’s making.

If it’s time to sit with the Holy Unrest and talk, to coax it out of the dark, to acknowledge its power, weight, passion, and HEFT…

(And perhaps you’re the one who needs coaxing and courage to Look at It squarely in the eyes?)

It will wait forever, but it’ll also keep getting more uncomfortable. It won’t wait forever, because you don’t exist forever (at least not in this form).
