Recently, I showed a client how to get out of email overwhelm. He went from 17,000 messages in his inbox down to less than 5,000 in just two hours with me.
Ok, ok, I know these numbers maybe don’t rock your world. I mean, 5,000 emails is still a lot.
Would you believe me, though, if I told you he finished cleaning out the rest of his inbox in just a couple of hours after I left? Indeed he did. And he gets a triple bright super shiny gold star for being so energized and motivated.
The real success is in the system, though.
Anyone can spend two or four or even six hours cleaning out their inbox. And many people do. Over and over and over.
In fact, I spoke to a small group of business owners just last week and one woman confessed she spent an entire six hour plane ride cleaning out her email.
Yikes.
When I asked her how she planned to keep her inbox so clean, she kind of ducked her head, shifted uncomfortably in her seat, and admitted she didn’t have a plan to beat email overwhelm. “Those numbers will be back in the thousands in six months. I’ll have to do that all over again.”
*Sigh*
As I always say, “Keeping up is better than catching up.”
The client I mentioned above won’t suffer the same fate. I gave him my five step plan for managing his inbox. Using these five steps – even imperfectly and not every day – he’ll still be able to easily maintain a lean inbox going forward.
Just for grins, take a minute and imagine you decided to let me show you my easy email management system so you could beat email overwhelm.
What would change for you?
- Less stress when you open your inbox?
- More time to focus on the potential clients (and money) in that inbox?
- More effective, efficient, and engaging communication with current clients?
- More time doing something, anything other than obsessing over email?
I don’t know about you, but it sure seems like a wonderful, profitable, and time-enhancing opportunity.
Just tell me you’re ready. I’ll reach out to you and handle the rest.
Sincerely,
Angie
