A week ago today was a beautiful celebration and acknowledgement of a client’s journey.
She’s been steadfast, focused, and has done the work.
Year One was about SELF.
Year Two was about LIFE.
Year Three that we are halfway through is about POSSIBILITY.
After we said goodbye for the morning, I sat in my car and reflected on this epic journey. I shared a snapshot with her of what I wrote in my journal after our session (it was a celebration/reflection and gratitude for getting to be part of this unfolding).
Then, I took myself on a walk to thank the trees for their companionship with this client and me.
It’s been several years of the trees, animals, and the land holding us. Walking with us. AWE-ing us with synchronicity, wonder, and sometimes deep quiet.
And OF COURSE the first thing I saw when I stepped onto the trail was a TURTLE.
All of my work is about slowing down. It’s about being present. Noticing. Naming only the next right step. TURTLE steps.
In the pouring down rain, I slipped off my shoes, greeted the turtle and then began my walk.
“May you be well,” I said to the trees and animals and land.
“May you be happy”
And may you be free from suffering.”
Over and over for almost 30 minutes I shared this blessing with the land and the animals and the trees.
I’m so grateful to this more-than-human community I am part of.
Warmly,
Angie
