“The One Who Listens Beneath the Water”
— A legend of quiet peace
They say there is a spirit animal that heals without a sound.
It does not fly, nor roar, nor draw attention.
It simply sits by the shore, listening to what humans have long forgotten —
the whispers of water, the fall of leaves, the rhythm of the heart.
The otter — in Native stories — is the soul of gentleness.
No one has seen it angry. No one has seen it rush.
Because it knows that everything comes in its own time, if we are patient enough.
The elders say, if you ever see an otter sitting still, pause.
It may be holding a sacred moment for you —
a moment where you don’t need to do anything, only to be.
Its name is Tamasun — “The One Who Listens Beneath the Water.”
If YOU are longing for this quiet peace…
Beneath the roar and the outrage of our current world…
Who is quietly desperate for some time, some peace, some space to BE, to experience, to THINK (or not)…
Then I warmly invite you to join me for the upcoming wildHER Rogue River Adventure happening in Oregon September 14 – 20th.
