When I found the Studio C Ideal Padfolio on the Carolina Pad site, I was overjoyed! Talk about a piece that does many things – and does them well. It’s really a system within a system.
Some of my favorite features include the notepad, pocket sleeves and a tab to hold a pen.
And how is this a system within a system? When I work with clients, one of the big issues I see is confusion about to manage business cards.
The scenario goes like this – you attend a networking meeting and you want to both give and collect business cards for potential prospects and contacts. When someone asks you for a business card – where are yours? And when someone hands you a card – where do you put it? This padfolio has two small sleeves in the front that are perfect for collecting those cards!
I also love this padfolio because of its size. It’s small enough to carry without being intrusive, but big enough to have a notepad that is actually usable for taking notes during meetings, speeches, and other networking events. And in this particular padfolio, the paper has perforation for easy tearing. I like this because I can take notes during a client meeting and then remove those specific pages and add them to my client binder or file folder for reference later.
The additional tall sleeves in this padfolio are useful for random mail, postcards, and papers that seem to accumulate during the day. Don’t forget to spend a minute or two at the end of each day cleaning these out. Toss, file, or add to a To Do pile – don’t let stuff linger in your padfolio!
In additional to being function, this little padfolio is pretty classy, too. I love the shiny cover because it matches my shiny bag. It looks professional but fun, too. And finally, the clasp that hold the padfolio shut ensures the contents won’t go flying out everywhere. Genius!
I shot a video review of the padfolio in case you want to see what I’m talking about. Check it out here.
