In the busyness of this particular season of life, I forgot my magic for a minute.
Things were feeling a tiny bit like a grind. Check this off, get through this, endure.
And then yesterday, in the last 15 minutes of my nature-based executive client session, I was reminded TWICE about the magic of life.
Our early morning walk started out cold and grey. We walked to stay warm. We solved all the world’s problems (not really, but it was a good convo).
Then with 15 minutes left in the session, my client and I both pulled cards from a deck for a deliberate walk and ponder.
He pulled a card that invited him to focus on the light in his life. Who brings light to his life? Say their names out loud, quietly to himself, as he walks. Then the card invited him to focus on the sunlight. He looked up and said, “This is so interesting because I had just started to notice the sunlight coming through the trees!” 🌤🌞 ☀️
I pulled a card that directly referenced something I had shared earlier with this client, around pride, arrogance, and belief in ourselves (inward and outward). I just stood there smiling as I read it, feeling full of warmth and gratitude.
Nature provided us both with magic. Some might call it coincidence. Nope. It’s magic. Synchronicity. Serendipity. Even delight.
Thank goodness for it. 😍
