My co-facilitator Jayne Fought (of the fabulous Island Ford Adventures) and I led nine women on a Backpacking + Wayfinding adventure this weekend called “Be Wilder!.” ??? ???
The physical part was harder than we planned – COLD temps challenged participants. SNOW was unexpected, especially all afternoon, through the night, and well into the next day. Keeping everyone warm and keeping spirits up was our #1 priority. ?❄️??⛺️
Moving into Saturday, we had more stability. I took the group out for a powerful Forest Therapy session. ☀️???????????
And here’s what I noticed: less is more. Allowing people to have their experiences, to get in touch with their bodies, and to meet their emotions honestly as they came. ????????
I also noticed my role was to ask one or two pointed questions. That gave them the opening for a powerful Ah-Ha, a profound realization, or deep Knowing of the Truth. ????????
Take time away from your ROUTINES. Away from your DEVICES. And even away from your familiar PEOPLE. Doing this creates the opportunity for you to THINK new thoughts, TRY new things, and MAKE new discoveries about yourself, the stories you carry, and how you view the world around you.
Gentle reader, how will you go get a little WILD?
And YES – I went a little WILD with the emojis. ??
Warmly,
Angie
