I’m talking to a LOT of my clients about the hustle and grind.
Most people seem really bought into it…
They don’t realize it’s a choice.
They think is more is better…
When actually, better is better (thanks for that one, Allison Crow, M.Ed.).
Personally, I’m having trouble these days with “regular life.” All the activities, all the purchasing, all the change, all the THINGS.
It’s like constant motion and constant connectivity is MANDATORY
even though it’s making us all MISERABLE.
I spent a VIP Retreat with a client at Biltmore Estates. She’s a big deal at a big company and carries both a work phone and a personal phone.
One of her big AH HA moments at the end of our time together was about that constant motion and constant connectivity.
She said, “I truly thought I could not turn off my work phone for two whole days. Now, I know I can and that feels like a miracle.”
I think, gentle reader, it’s time to question a whole lot of things about what’s “expected” in life.
Expected by whom? And do you AGREE or are you just going with it because it’s EXPECTED?
There is so much goodness that comes from disconnecting and stopping for awhile. Not just one or two weeks a year for vacation…
But quarterly, monthly, weekly, and DAILY.
If you don’t see how this is possible, I can definitely help. PM me and let’s chat.
Warmly,
Angie
