My dad was a navigator for much of his naval career.
And you know what’s interesting?
I’m a navigator, too.
But my navigation work isn’t in the wind, over the waves, or with stars (at least not explicitly for making sure I know where my plane or boat are). I don’t use charts, maps, or sextants, though those are amazing tools.
My navigation is wayfinding but it’s focused on the person in front of me, helping them find their way home to themselves.
What do you love?
What do you want?
What do you desire?
How much of those things are present in your life?
This is the work I’m up to with people, often leaders who’ve been in the game of business for a long time. So long, sometimes, that they’ve lost themselves completely in it.
I love a return to YOU. How does your body feel? What are your thought processes? What does your heart say?
Those things may sound frivolous in this fast-paced, pressure-filled world.
I assure paying attention to your senses is THE WAY to center yourself, to make better decisions, to engage with your creativity, and to lead other people well.
Interested in stepping into wayfinding?
I offer three-hour, three-day, or even longer nature immersion experiences for An Outside Perspective (TM). This is relaxed and focused time for you to get in touch with nature and your Self.
