There’s a LOT of chaos, suffering and turmoil in the world.
Today, if you can, go outside and stand in the sunshine. Let the warmth penetrate your bones.
Feel the air brush across your skin.
Listen as the birds tweet and chirp and chatter and sing to one another.
Give the air a good sniff. What’s there to notice? Grass? Dirt? Ozone from nearby water? Maybe the decay and breakdown of the beginning of leaves falling from the trees?
With that good sniff, can you taste all that on your tongue, too? Or maybe you’re tasting this morning’s coffee, tea, or breakfast? Just notice.
Slip off your shoes and stand barefooted in the grass or dirt or sand. Wiggle your toes. Shift your legs and hips, stretch your back, arms, and shoulders.
Breathe deeply again.
And again.
What are you noticing?
This small practice, 5 or 10 minutes a day, will ground you and bring you back to the present moment, to your body and your breath.
Be well, friends
Warmly,
Angie
