Seven women on a *modified trip to the forest for three days of quiet, introspection, learning, and community.
Forest bathing gave us an opportunity to experience quiet and stillness. To reconnect to Nature more deeply. To experience ourselves more fully. And to share with each other deeply and truly.
There may also have been birthday cake for one precious participant so we could celebrate her birthing day.
This work of Wayfinding and Forest Bathing challenges me mentally and physically. It quiets my mind and enlivens my imagination. It tears down my walls and ignites my connection to The Field. It opens my heart and I marvel at what comes tumbling out.
As we asked participants about the *experience, they said it exceeded their expectations and they received more than they even realized, things they didn’t even know they needed.
*My very wise and capable co-lead, Jayne Fought of Island Ford Adventures, and I made the decision to modify the trip itinerary because it was supposed to be 3 days of total immersion backpacking in the forest, but Saturday’s low temps + 100% chance of rain promised hypothermia problems and we weren’t interested in flirting with any of that foolishness.
Warmly,
Angie
P.S. JOIN ME ON RETREAT
If you’re interested in joining me on retreat, I have another one special one coming up June 2 – 4 at Earthshine Lodge in Lake Toxaway, NC called EMERGE: A quiet retreat to remember who you are and who you can be.
This one is “rustic luxury” (not backpacking) and everyone gets their own private bed and bath and all food is included. We’ll dive deep into nature (outside and your insides). You’ll come away with more than you expect.
