We are back safe and (mostly) sound after an epic 80+ mile rafting adventure on the main Salmon River in Idaho.
The Frank Church Wilderness of No Return is STUNNING. Full of history, characters, and a variety of folks still living full-time in and around the river.
The women who joined me and Sylke Laine were challenged and forever changed for being part of this full-immersion experience.
Beyond that, I don’t quite have words yet for this thing we did. The full experience was as deep as the canyon we rafted through, it was as fun as I hoped it would be, it was as hard as I expected, and it was as big as each of us allowed it to be.
I am humbled by the river.
I am awed by the women who said YES.
I am deeply grateful to our guides.
I am more in love than ever with wild places, far from “normal” life and it’s soul-numbing comforts.
I feel deeply, fully, gratefully, and beautifully ALIVE and I think each woman on the trip would say the same!
Warmly,
Angie
