I want to share two brief stories about two very different business owners who transformed themselves by discovering their own power through organization and focus.
First Story
Last week, I spent a Fast Action VIP Day with a new client. She was struggling with an over-abundance of clutter that included catalogs and product samples. Her biggest issues included not knowing what she had available (her sample inventory), not being able locate items quickly, and not being able to find catalogs she needed for research.
By the end of our day together, I showed her how to completely transform her space, eliminate the clutter, and put systems in place to keep the clutter from ever building up again.
Her parting words were, “Angie, I started this day feeling completely out of control. Now, the few things I have left to finish [her homework from me] feels so much more doable!”
Second Story
Last year, I worked with the branch manager of a mortgage company. The interesting thing to note is he was (and continues to be) one of the most organized and efficient people I know.
Our three months of sessions together were very illuminating for him. As I evaluated how he was working, I told him there wasn’t much he could or should change. He was running a tight ship and his personal organization was incredible.
However, as we started reviewing what he was doing, the real magic started happeing. Very quickly, I helped him see a dozen activities he could delegate to his very capable administrative assistant.
Now, his role is much more strategy-focused rather activity-focused. He continues to grow and hire team members, despite the economy and the state of the housing industry. And, perhaps most importantly, he’s on track to more than triple his business (and we’re talking millions – not chump change). All in one year’s time.
Organization and focus?
In the above scenarios, these business owners discovered their own power through the seemingly “simple” acts organization and focus.
Of course, getting organized for some people is the obvious approach. You are disorganized and you know it. Going from being a Mistress of Chaos to a Mistress of Calm is awesomely powerful.
But what if you’re one of those people who says, “I’m already a very organized person, Angie!”
I’m sure that’s true. And I’m here to tell you it isn’t the whole story.
Imagine if you took time to look at your business, and your role in it, with a new perspective, with a fresh set of eyes. My eyes.
What would be possible?
What if you could become even 10 percent more efficient? And what would happen if you went from being activity-focused to being strategically-focused? Could that result in more energy, more focus, and a tripling of your business?
Imagine!
Just contact me and say you’re ready. I’ll reach out to you and handle the rest.
Sincerely,
Angie
