The value of coaching is found in the lies you tell yourself. In the spot you are blind to. In the truth you cannot (yet) hear.
The value of coaching is uncovered in your statements of “fact.” In your unquestioned beliefs. And in your fixed mindset.
The value of coaching is listening with new ears. Seeing with new eyes. And in engaging someone else’s keen intuitive sensing.
The value of coaching is in the thing you don’t say. The feeling you don’t notice. And the dream(s) you don’t speak out loud.
Coaching isn’t therapy (though sometimes it feels like it is). Rather, I like to call it WAYFINDING.
Finding your way back to your heart. Finding your way back to your VALUES. Finding your way towards your vision (a place to come from, not a place to get to, as my own coach Rich Litvin says over and over). And finally, finding your RIGHT LIFE, one turtle step, and one degree turns at a time.
The key here is: FINDING YOUR WAY
