“I have never told anyone that before,” she said.
It briefly shocked her into silence.
One of my gifts is holding space for people.
One of my more uncomfortable talents is hold that silence for a long, long time.
I heard her shuffle in seat.
She cleared her throat.
And then she said, “Well, this feels uncomfortable.”
I replied simply, “That’s okay. It’s not a bad thing to sit in the feeling of uncomfortableness. Especially after you say something so important.”
She laughed, said something jokey, and we on with continued our coaching call.
It was a powerful session where necessary and long-held-back truths were told.
NOW we were getting somewhere. In that silence, transformation began.
She thought we were here for time management stuff.
Turns out, we’re here for WAY MORE than slogging through a mediocre kind of living.
Whewwwwww…this work is hard. But it’s also remarkable when people step IN.
Might YOU be ready to step IN?
Warmly,
Angie
